Hi! I’m Heather and welcome to Dredge and Drizzle! This blog brings together all my favorite things; food, writing, photography, and people!

I love creating new recipes and trying out recipes others have created. I enjoy going out to eat, falling in love with a dish, and recreating it in my own kitchen. (The one dish I have been unable to successfully recreate is the Chicken Marsala from Carrabba’s… but I’m not giving up!) I love different cultures and the foods they “bring to the table,” sometimes combining them to see what will happen.

I live in Jacksonville, Florida with my husband Rudy and our hodgepodge of children and dogs. We have two children at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, one in high school, and one in diapers. (How’s that for a blended family?)

By day, I’m a technical writer in the pharmaceutical industry. By night (and weekend), I’m cooking and shooting food and writing all about it!

Lastly, I also think it’s fun to teach people to do something in the kitchen that they may not have done before, something that seems too complicated or daunting, but in reality is really easy and rewarding. It might be making dumplings from scratch, brining a turkey, or trying to figure out that fancy new spiralizer thingy. I’m your girl. I don’t claim to know it all, but I’m willing to try it all!
